An in-the-base cheapie with no guest stars, “Entity” is a good showcase for Richard Dean Anderson, who has both an awesome silent scene where he looks over a strange “nest” or “hive” the morning after the energy-entity that came to Earth via radio wave has taken over Sam’s body, and an even more awesome scene where he tells the entity to leave or else he will destroy its planet. Other than his fine acting, there’s very little to this story. Like some of the weaker Stargate installments, this felt a lot like something that could have been told on Star Trek, only with present-day tech instead of future tech.
